Pedaling for Progress: Rotary Powers the Bass Coast Cycle Challenge

Nov 2024

Our club was thrilled to support this year's Bass Coast Cycle Challenge on Saturday, November 9!

Cyclists of all levels took to the scenic coastal routes, raising vital funds for our local youth and community programs.

The Bass Coast Cycle Challenge has championed youth road safety for over a decade, funding programs like the RYDA Road Safety Education Program. Thanks to funds raised, students in grades 10, 11, and 12 participate in road safety initiatives like the "Keys Please" VicRoads program (Year 10), the RYDA program (Year 11), and the VicRoads "Muck Up Day" program (Year 12), building crucial road skills and awareness.

Our Rotary volunteers were out in full force, manning checkpoints, offering refreshments, and supporting logistics to ensure a fantastic day for all involved.

Their enthusiasm encouraged and supported cyclists along every stretch of the route.

Thank you to everyone who rode, cheered, or supported! This event truly embodies the spirit of health, fitness, and community.

We were proud to be part of something that promotes resilience, safety, and well-being in our community.
