Rotary and Village School Students Collaborate to Construct Sixth Ga-Ga Pit
Aug 2025
Our club has again partnered with students from The Village School (Ryanston Senior Campus) to build a Ga-Ga ball pit for San Remo Primary School. This is the sixth pit installed in the region and the fourth constructed with Village School students.
Under the guidance of Rotarian John Tennant, students worked alongside Rotarians, learning practical skills while promoting teamwork and community engagement. Ga-Ga ball, an inclusive and fast-paced game, is increasingly popular in local schools, offering safe spaces for active play and social connection.
"This is about more than building a playground," said Mr Tennant. "It's about empowering young people to see the impact they can make."
The Rotary-Village School partnership continues to demonstrate how schools and community organisations can work together to deliver lasting benefits.
