Bowel Scan

Bowel Scan

Bowelscan is a community service offered by Rotary to help reduce the number of deaths caused by bowel cancer. During the month of May, Rotary is active in promoting and providing test kits for bowel cancer.

Bowel cancer is a real killer and the second most common cancer death. It can be detected early and successfully treated. If you or someone you know is over 40 a Bowelscan test should be used every year.

A $15.00 Bowelscan Bowel Cancer Test Kit could save your life. You can get a Bowelscan Test Kit from participating pharmacies during the month of May.

Our Club provides this community service on a not-for-profit basis. Volunteers from our Club under the direction of Reg Excell manage the logistics for this essential service from sourcing and distributing test kits, to ensuring test kits are sent to the lab for confidential assessment. The Lab provides the results directly to the client and Rotary is not informed or involved in this part of the service.

Bowel cancer is a real killer and can affect anyone. It is important to be tested regularly and our Club is proud to provide this service to our community. You will see information about this service every May but if you would like to know more, feel free to contact us.
